Steve Golden first met Bruce Lee in 1964 when Lee was frequently visiting Ed Parker. A black belt in Kenpo, Golden did not become an official student of Lee until 1967 when Lee's Chinatoon school opened. Golden spent 8 months under both Lee and Dan Inosanto at the school and also participated in group lessons at Lee's home. After Lee's death, Golden learned Wing Chun to further formulate his own interpretation of Jeet Kune Do. A former founding member of the now defunct JFJKD Nucleus, Golden is now enjoying retirement with his wife but still keeps busy teaching seminars in both the US and abroad.
